Saving and managing recipes
If a recipe won’t import
A different link, the recipe’s text, or a clearer photo may help you save it.
Check where the link goes
Open the link in your browser. Can you see the full ingredients and instructions? If it opens a profile, search result, or post that links to another site, follow that link to the recipe and copy its address instead.
Good Fork may not be able to read pages that require a sign-in or block access from other services.
Paste the recipe text instead
Copy the ingredients and cooking instructions from the original recipe.
Open Curate, paste the text into Paste a link or type a recipe, and choose Import.
Check the result against the original and make any corrections before saving.
Working from a photo?
Use Scan a recipe in Curate. The image needs to show the recipe’s words, not just a photo of the finished dish. Make sure the quantities and instructions are clear and complete.
If some details were missed, try a sharper photo. Small print, columns, and handwritten fractions can be harder to read.
Check the message in the app
If Good Fork reports a connection problem, reconnect and try again. Check whether the recipe was already saved before repeating the import.
If you’ve reached the Free plan’s recipe limit, open Good Fork Pro in Settings to see your options.
Still having trouble?
Send us the recipe link and the message you saw. Let us know whether you used a link, pasted text, or a photo. Those details help us work out what went wrong.
